Transfer panels are a method of safely diverting flow, they are also called flow diversion panels, flowverters, or swing panels and have been in use for years in a number of industries. It enables clients to direct product or chemicals to multiple lines for transfer / cleaning operations and prevents sending the wrong chemicals down lines.
Still widely used today, transfer panels provide an effective alternative to more costly or less efficient flow diversion methods.
What is a typical transfer panel design?
Transfer panel designs are based on the number of inlet pipes and outlet destinations for the flow that is to be diverted. This is a manual based method of diverting the flow, other methods include setting up a valve manifold that directs the flow as required through automation.
